Book Review: Hostile Takeover

Book Review: Hostile Takeover by Derek Blount

This is not my typical read, but I was impressed with the story. It kept me guessing all the way through. I especially enjoyed the way Blount developed the characters. They were unique but familiar if you’ve ever spent time out in the real world. Readers should have no trouble connecting with them.

Ratings: (poor, average, or good):

Writing was good.

Background information was good.

Character Development was good.

Spoiler:

The one thing I didn’t like was the lead-in to the sequel at the end of the book telling us everything about the bad guy (and future bad guys). I felt like Blount was waving it in my face and saying, “See! I put thought into the bad guy!” There was indeed some thought put into him, and it was an awesome background, but I would wished he’d have revealed that bit by bit throughout the story. It wasn’t enough to kill the 5 star rating though.

5 out of 5 stars.
